The main font (FAMAGUSTA) represents the city as an historic place, which is the most touristic potential of the walled city. Beside that the font which look feminine and romantic, used for the slogan under the logo, in order to emphasise drama and romance within the history of the city. On the other hand for blue (CITY) text, more contemporary looked font used in order to emphasise that the city does not only have magical historic places but also it adapt it self to nowadays lifestyle and provide contemporary facilities. Blue colour have been used both for the text and the boundary of the logo, in order to emphasise that that Famagusta is a costal city and surrounded by the sea as well as ancient walls which provide a mystic journey in it... Finally an abstract door inserted in the logo in order to emphasize that the walled city as a gate to the magical history.
